In June 2023, Denmark Chocolate Company was purchased by Christine Rumble and David Boulton under the name of Wine Tree Estate Trust.
Christine and Dave are avid foodies who love nothing more than experimenting with different flavours of food and beverage. Whilst looking for a place in the south west to develop short-term holiday accommodation, they fell in love with the beautiful gardens and surrounding forest of the 6-hectare property on which Denmark Chocolate Company is located.
Dave and Christine seized the opportunity to purchase both the land and business to help create their accommodation vision whilst having an established food and beverage operation already in place.
Dave has a background in the jewellery industry, a love of experimenting with flavours, and an obsession with attention to detail, all of which has proven to be a great combination to unlocking the art of making delicious chocolate creations. When he is not in the kitchen creating a delicious array of handmade chocolates he is busy maintaining the 6 hectares of natural bushland and gardens.
With over 35 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Christine escaped her executive career to embark on what she loves most – providing excellence in customer service and welcoming visitors to her home. Ensuring your stay is exceptional Christine will be available to assist you throughout your stay .
Bringing our Vision to Life
In line with their vision, Wine Tree Estate Chalets stage one opened in January 2025 with two self-contained chalets.
Serenity is a one bedroom chalet with spa and Harmony is two bedrooms with a wheelchair accessible bathroom.
A further two chalets are planned for stage two. Determined to ensure that Wine Tree Estate Chalets are truly exceptional the facilities and services available will continue to evolve over time.
